How do I report a change of address?
You can change your address on your accounts, credit cards and investments by phone, on AccèsD or in person at the caisse.
You can also report a change of address to Desjardins General Insurance (home and auto) and The Personal (home and auto) by checking the boxes on the form available on AccèsD.
How to report a change of address
- Log on to AccèsD.
- Click on the Profile and preferences icon in the right-hand menu and then on Change address underProfile.
Please allow for processing time (except for Desjardins credit cards, on which changes of address go into effect immediately).

What do I do if I've forgotten my AccèsD password?
To get a new password:
- Log on to AccèsD.
- Click Forgot your password?
- Enter your username.
The system will then ask you a few identification questions.
If you answer them correctly, you will be asked to choose a new password.
Otherwise, please call 1-800-CAISSES (1-877-224-7737).
Once your password changed, the system will ask you to validate your authentication questions.
Why am I constantly receiving fraudulent emails?
Scammers may have obtained your email address from a variety of sources.
- They may have used a spam mailing list on which your address is listed with or without your consent. (These lists are sometimes created from online contest entries. Always be sure to check out the legitimacy of a company before you enter their online contest.)
- They may have obtained your address via spyware installed without your knowledge on your PC. (Make sure your computer is protected against spyware.)
- They may have created hundreds of thousands of email addresses randomly by combining first and last names and known domain names, one of which happens to be your personal email address
Once scam artists find an email address that works, they may be tempted to send emails to that address over and over again.
Though phishing is generally associated with email, some computer criminals use the phone as well. In this case, pirates call victims on the phone and pose as a financial institution employee, an investigator or a police officer.

For how long will my funds be on hold?
Holding funds is a routine precaution taken by all financial institutions in anticipation of returned cheques. At Desjardins, funds are generally held for 5 to 7 business days if you deposit a cheque at the counter or ATM, or if you make an inter-institution transfer online on AccèsD.
This procedure applies to any type of cheque, personal or otherwise, as well as for cash deposited at an ATM.
Authorized transit is an amount determined by the caisse that enables you to cash cheques without having a hold placed on the funds.
This limit can be adjusted by the caisse under certain conditions. Contact your caisse.
